1. What This Website Is

Bullock County Criminal History is an independent reference site with no government affiliation. It does not keep official records, retrieve them for visitors, conduct official background checks, or submit legal filings.

The content points to the Bullock County Sheriff, courts, Alabama Law Enforcement Agency repository, Alabama Department of Corrections, and Alabama Law Enforcement Agency Sex Offender Registry. It may also connect visitors with outside search tools used at their own discretion.

2. Rules for Using This Site

By using the site, a visitor agrees not to:

• Violate a federal, Alabama, or local law
• Stalk, threaten, intimidate, or harass another person
• Use site content for credit, employment, housing, or insurance decisions
• Attempt unauthorized access to any system or account
• Use bots, scrapers, or other automated collection tools
• Interfere with site performance or another visitor's access

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

Information from the site or a linked service may not be used to harass, stalk, threaten, intimidate, or discriminate against anyone. The restriction is especially important for registry information. Alabama's sex offender registry exists for public safety and community notice, not vigilantism. Threatening, harassing, or intimidating a registrant is prohibited and may violate law.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

This site is not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA and creates no credit report, background check, or consumer report. Site or partner information must not be used to screen a job or housing applicant, set insurance terms, judge credit, or make another FCRA-regulated decision.

• Do not make hiring or firing decisions from site content
• Do not evaluate a renter or housing applicant with it
• Do not determine creditworthiness or insurance premiums from it
• Do not decide eligibility for licenses, permits, or public programs with it
• Do not use it for another purpose regulated by the FCRA

A legally required official check must come through the proper Alabama Law Enforcement Agency process or another provider authorized and compliant for that purpose.

5. No Legal Advice

Content is general information, not legal advice. It cannot determine how Alabama law applies to a specific Bullock County charge, warrant, conviction, disposition, or expungement petition. Legal advice must come from a licensed Alabama attorney.

6. No Warranties

All content and services are provided "as is." No promise is made that:

• The site will operate without delay or interruption
• Every page will be free from bugs, errors, or security flaws

9. Limits on Our Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bullock County Criminal History is not liable for harm arising from use of the site or a linked service, including harm based on information found through either source.

10. Indemnification

A visitor agrees to defend and hold the site harmless from claims, actions, demands, costs, and reasonable legal fees caused by that visitor's use of the site or breach of these terms.

11. Governing Law

Alabama law governs these terms, including applicable limits on public access and criminal-record disclosure. The Alabama Open Records Act, principally Alabama Code §36-12-40, governs public writings held by government custodians, while Alabama Code §15-27-6 addresses limited access after expungement. Any dispute connected with site use must be filed in a court located in Alabama.

12. Changes to These Terms

These terms may be revised at any time. A revision becomes effective when the updated text is posted on this page.

13. Cutting Off Access

Access may be limited or terminated at any time, with or without prior notice, when the operator chooses to do so.

14. Severability

If a court finds one provision invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay effective. The affected term will be adjusted only as much as necessary to make it enforceable.
